One of Brybelly's chief brands is Crown Sporting Goods, which offers simple sports and fitness training solutions on ecommerce platforms, competing with bigger name brands mainly on cost. This strategy worked well enough for us to extend it into the yoga marketplace, but there the Crown brand felt out of place. Thus was born Crown Yoga, with its own brand aesthetic and personality.
With plenty of white space, cool airy tones and a dash of mandala-inspired decorative elements, the brand conveys a sense of comfort and well-being. I illustrated the Chakra Art yoga mat series, drawing inspiration from yoga's Indian roots. I also oversaw the creation of a deck of yoga training cards, our most ambitious project in the series.

Project ROLE

Crown Sporting Goods had been with Brybelly since the company's early days, consistently and reliably producing evergreen products with decent returns but rarely seeing any blockbuster hits. Our team set out to change that by leveraging our design skills to expand our range of offerings and give them an edge in the marketplace. Through this effort we raised the bar significantly for Crown.
Two noteworthy projects featured here are the Hot Shots Basketball Training Cards and the Playmakers Flag Football Set. These products marked a new era for the Crown Sports brand. Both products feature detailed and well-researched training instruction as well as useful, high-quality imagery. The mature design aesthetic strikes a perfect utilitarian balance with an air of edgy confidence.
